You won’t always get it right — neither will they. Forgiveness is not weakness; it’s protection.
5. Marriage requires friendship.
If you can’t laugh, talk, joke, or simply be with your partner, the journey gets heavy.
Friendship is the glue.
6. You grow through marriage, not before it.
You don’t have to be perfectly healed, perfectly disciplined, or perfectly ready. Marriage sharpens you.
7. Appreciate the small things.
A soft touch.
A joke at the right moment.
A meal cooked.
A ride given.
A prayer whispered over you.
These little moments end up being the big ones later.
8. Protect your marriage from outside voices.
Not everyone should have access to your problems. Prayer and communication come before friends and family.
