Divinity In Motion... When He Calls: Why I Had to Write This Story

In just a few days, I’ll be releasing my debut novel, Divinity In Motion… When He Calls. It still feels surreal to say that. But this moment, this message, this book—it didn’t come from ambition or a publishing goal. It came from a calling.

💜 A Story That Chose Me

I didn’t set out to write a book like this. I didn’t plan to dive into trauma, abuse, abandonment, grief, and all the pieces most people try to bury. But the truth is, Divinity In Motion wouldn’t let me go. I had been trying to write this story for a long time. I had my own traumas and didn't feel like writing, but this book would not let me go. 

God placed this story on my heart during a time when I, too, was navigating through my own storms—grieving, questioning, and learning to listen when God speaks, even in whispers.

And He made it clear: This story wasn’t just for me. It was for others who needed it.

 

✝️ This Isn’t Just Fiction

Yes, Divinity In Motion is a fictional novel. But its emotions are real. Its pain is real. And the healing inside it is absolutely real.

You’ll meet Divinity Renee Destiny Rivera—a young girl who loses her mother, lives with secrets no child should carry, and becomes a woman trying to survive a world that has misused her over and over again.

Her story doesn’t hide from the ugly. It doesn’t gloss over the trauma. There are moments that may trigger you. Moments that made me cry just writing them. But I wrote them anyway.

Because someone needed to feel seen. Someone needed to feel heard. Someone needed to be reminded that even in the deepest pain—God never leaves us.
